Forecast: Turning up the heat this weekend, even hotter next week

Here are the latest updates from the KVUE Weather Team.

AUSTIN, Texas — We hope you've enjoyed this rather warm Saturday so far!

We're tracking a toasty Sunday through the next week with highs in the 90s each day, so Summer is officially right on our doorstep, and if you're not a fan of summer heat in Central Texas, then that's too bad.

The differences come with humidity and storm chances, however, as we expect to remain dry through the weekend and into early next week with mostly sunny skies. Clouds do build in for the middle portion of next week as humidity builds in, and with that, we could see some scattered storm chances for Wednesday and Thursday.

As for whether those storms could be strong to severe, it is too early to say at this time, but we'll be monitoring it for you as we head into next week.

SATURDAY NIGHT:
Mostly clear. Patchy fog late. South wind at 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT:
